  I ordered a loose bunch of flowers to be delivered to my mother's work for her 60th birthday. The ordering process was a little disorganized - they misspelled her name and didn't send me a confirmation, but we got that sorted out before delivery because I called to confirm. However, I'm disappointed with what I got. I spent $100 for a loose bunch of flowers, without a vase, because I knew that I wanted a bouquet that was really extravagant. I wanted six roses to represent every decade of my mom's life. When I ordered, I used the words extravagant, amazing, breathtaking, many times. The woman assured me that's what I would get. But on delivery the reactions I got were, "It's nice." I saw the picture and I have to agree. The flowers are fresh and pretty, but I don't think this is worth the $80 that would have gone into it after delivery, tax, and a balloon. Would you agree? And there were only three roses, so the symbolism wasn't there. When I addressed this with the shop the woman was very nice about it, but didn't budge on my assessment or do anything to make me feel better. They sent me an itemized list of the flowers included in the bunch - they charged $4 for a stem of mini gerbera daisy. They pointed out they didn't charge the 20% labor that's standard in the industry since it was loose bouquet. That may be the case, but they certainly charge a decent markup on the flowers. I don't know, I don't intend to be unfair, but spending $100 for flowers, a balloon, and delivery, I just feel kind of ripped off. I definitely won't be calling them back, and feel like maybe I'm never going to order flowers from a florist ever again, in general. I'm sad.
